Our Story
90 Years in Waterbury
Founded in 1933 during the Great Depression, GWIM grew out of the Waterbury Area Council of Churches. For nine decades, our 52 member congregations, synagogues, and mosque have rotated kitchen duty, making this the longest-running interfaith hunger relief effort in Connecticut.
