GWIM's Soup Kitchen is more than a place to eat. For many of our guests, it's a safe haven from the outside world — a place to sit down, be treated with respect, and connect with people who care.
Our staff and volunteers know many guests by name. For seniors living alone, for people experiencing homelessness, for families stretching every dollar — this kitchen is their kitchen.
Through our Resource Center, guests can also access connections to housing support, healthcare, benefits assistance, legal aid, and employment referrals — all under one roof. We work closely with StayWell Health Center, Brian Gibbons Homeless Outreach, and Legal Aid on Central Avenue.
Food insecurity rarely comes alone. Our free regional directory connects you to over 37 vetted organizations across Greater Waterbury, covering shelter, healthcare, legal aid, utilities, and more.
